AMIENS GOLF CLUB is located in the north of France, in an area where lots of WW1 (‘14 - ‘18) battles took place, among them the famous and most deadly one, ‘The Battle of the Somme’.
Members of this club are very much aware of the sacrifice made by so many young men who lost their life for the freedom and democracy of our free world. We would like to honour these soldiers, by organising the first MEMORIAL DAY GOLF TROPHY, and celebrate the 100th anniversary of the end of this war. We invite all their relatives and fellow countrymen to join in a peaceful and enjoyable golf battle.
The Amiens Golf Club is an associative golf of 500 members.
Near the city centre of Amiens, the Amiens Golf Club constitute a perfect symbol of lifestyle in Picardie. Its course is situated in the borders of the Querrieu wood. If the firsts holes appeared in 1925, the course has had its actual configuration since 1977.
The golf, flat and wooded, is a technical golf. Perform your firsts shots with reflexion. Reach the green will be easier though. The chalky subsurface assures a good drainage allowing a dry play all the year. The restaurant offers a breath-taking view on all the course. You'll also benefit of the Club House lounge and of the terrace.
